Budget
date set for 22 April
Chancellor Alistair Darling will present his Budget statement to the House of Commons at 12.30pm on Wednesday 22 April.
The date comes two weeks after the G20 summit, at which world leaders will meet to discuss possible solutions to deal with the global economic crisis.
The news follows the recent announcement by
Bank of England governor Mervyn King that the
